New Minimum Wage of caregiver in israel

The New minimum wage in israel for 2018 

starting from December 2017 salary (to be paid in January, 2018)

The new minimum salary (before deductions) is 5,300 NIS per month

· The new hourly minimum wage is 28.50 NIS - Note: the weekly allowance is part of the salary

· For caregivers who receive weekly allowance of 100 NIS, and the employer pays for their food, the average minimum salary after deductions is 4000 NIS.

· Caregivers who receive less than 4000 NIS + 100 NIS weekly (or don't get weekly allowance, and receive less than 4400 NIS), can demand an increase by law.

 The allowed deductions: 

 Housing : 125 - 230 NIS

(depending on the area, the lowest is for the North, the highest is for Tel-Aviv) 

 Medical insurance : 125 NIS 

 Other expenses : 78  NIS

 Food : up to 530 NIS

Q:How much is the weekend stay for those Caregivers who are working on Shabbat?

 A:Holiday / weekly day-off – 25 hours

- Kav Laoved's position - the payment for working on Shabath was supposed to be 340 NIS and is to be raised to 360 NIS. 

We know that many agencies required only 300 NIS , and will require now only 318 NIS, but our position - 360 NIS.

Q:How much is the Annual Vacation pay per day?

A: 212 NIS
